No. Roding Valley Tri Club is only open to adults (i.e. those 18 years old or over).
Do you take Juniors?
How do I join?
Do I have to live in a particular area?
No you are not required to reside in a specific area. However, since training sessions and events are often held in Essex and London it's practical to choose a club whose activities are accessible to you.
Do I need to be proficient in swimming, cycling and running to join?
No. We cater to complete beginners and individuals who may excel in one discipline but are new to others. Coaches and members will provide support and training to help you improve in all areas.
Racing is completely your choice and Roding Valley Tri will support you whatever your goals.
You need to be able to swim at least 25 metres without stopping. This is so you can benefit from the sessions and our coaching.
How good do I have to be to swim with the club?
Can I join if I don't race?
Can I join a session to see if I like the club?
Yes. If you'd like to come and see if the club is for you, you are welcome to come along as a non-member to our Saturday forest run and/or our Sunday group ride sessions before you commit yourself to joining.
How far/fast do you go on a club ride? I’m afraid I will not be able to keep up!
The 3hr Group 1 ride is for those that are capable of riding at an average speed of 16+mph. The 2hr Group 2 ride is for everyone else.
